My Baguio Trip

I feel very hot. Dehydrated? Hmm...and that halo-halo seemed like days ago...

Anyway my recent trip to Baguio was a brief but satisfactory adventure- something I haven't had in a very long time.

We went there tuesday am...came back friday night due to some important business of my ma.

My company: Shane and my Ma

We rode: The bus (actually Shane's fam knows the owner of the bus company but somehow we didn't get free tickets, hahahaha)

I felt glad because public transpo means a great adventure to me, hehehe...and I'll get to see the bus station, which I hardly ever set foot on...

So we went there. Shane and I were the only adventurers of the family then, and the guys only wanted to play basketball, pc...didn't want to get tired, so kami nga lang ang game sumama kay mama. Isang pakay na rin kasi namin is mabisita ung dad ni mama, si gwakong ko, who just transfered there from Cagayan. And along with that goal is our determination to get out of Manila and have fun.

After debating on what stuff to carry, we set off...using good old exercise and public transpo...hahahaha. Upon arriving sa station, nangalap kami ng insan ko ng bogchi for the trip, plus kumain ng rice in a box for brunch (hindi kami kumain kasi super excited? hehe).

We trio decided on the spot where our first stop was, baguio or down at pangasinan where a lot of our relatives lived too. I made an agreement then while falling in line for the tickets: we go for where the bus is available earlier.

Baguio was leaving only 20 mins after the dagupan trip, so we opted for the baguio para diretso na...I was guessing na hindi lanh ako ang atat na umakyat sa bundok kasi ang init tlg. At gusto ko na makita ulit so gwakong.

Trip!!!

So ayun trip trip. On the way naasar tlg ako kasi biro nyo ba nmn sa lht ng pding iplay sa radyo un pang oldies (ala transistor ang dating, so im guessing that the driver's either a big gay fan or simply a probinsyano).

Tapos siguro after three hours ata biglang may stopover, sa tarlac. Dumami pasahero. Then inon na nila ung tv. I was like, yes, may palabas, whee...until I saw the dvd theme...

John Travolta 8-in-1 Greatest Collection.

I stood up, left my bus seat by the aisle and jumped on the bus driver, grabbing him by the collar, "How can anyone take this?!! Grr...AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Who the fag framed this torture trip!!!??? AAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Ahem...my rich imagination did that to me, but no, kidding, hahaha. Thank God...kasi Face-off naman pla ung palabas, yei...I've always known that it was a great movie kaso never ko pa nakita ung start. So I watched.

But it took another John Travolta movie after face-off and a good hour's wait (which made me tear up a bit and made shane cry, hahaha) before we got reached our destination. It also helped that shane was amusing me with her company, charming little lady, that baliw...

Arrival!!!

Pag dating sa Baguio, stretch legs, parang nawala kasi, hahaha...ayun e di taxi, ask directions kay gwakong, madali lng pla, nyehehe.

Conditions:

Malamig. :P Kaso sa pagtatanong ko, this kind of lamig is too hot for the people there, as in si Goku ko nagkakasakit na dahil 'mainit' daw. Come on, let them try Manila weather, hahaha!

At sa totoo ayaw ni Mama ko matulog dun sa bahay na yun (let's just say it's a Cinderella-stepmother situation), kasi andun yung step- um, I mean new wife ni Gwakong (ours is a VERY extended family tree, believe me...).

Pero dahil nag-insist si Gwakong at nwlan ng options si Ma, so in the end ntulog kming tatlo dun.
First trip:

Pag dating namin sa house by taxi, sinalubong kami ni Gwakong and his very famous chinese music...grabe, music niya chinese instrumentals abot rinig up to the next street...may mga nagsside comments na nga hahaha.

Well, he's from china and he's worked as a chinese teacher and principal, so what the heck, it's normal...I guess.

After eating a lot and dropping our stuff, roll kami SM baguio, yey! At yun, kumain ng pizza, sightseeing...ganda kya ng night scene from the balcony there, lamig and kita ung most of the city kasi mataas yung place...

:P Una ayaw niya, kaso later on esp. thursday she's gonna love it...

Tapos uwi. Tulog. Kita si Goku, Laku, Sa-i...they were very thrilled to see us. Una chika, di ko tlg sila ka-close, so whatever, I tried to distract myself by reading pugad baboy and watching tv. Pero malay ko ba, I was attracted to the warmth of the crowd, so maya-maya naki-join na ko sa room and late na kmi sleep.

Next Day:

Still don't want to go. Visited a very fun village, igorot village called Tam-Awan. Cute nipas, bamboo bridges which mama feared but I loved, yeah...the minikubos were ready for occupancy.

Satur, our YFC taxi driver, took us there but not before telling us a joke na hindi naman bumenta, hahahaha...well he's sport enough to admit it right after, nyehehehe.

Kaso for some reason nairita si mama sa akin, kasi naman i was too adventurous, wanted to go higher into the village, pataas kasi...konti na lang people sa taas eh...

We were about to go next to Wright Park, but the sky wasn't so happy about it...umulan, as is with every afternoon daw dun. So we told the taxi to turn around, punta SM. Kain kami Goldi.

Night Mischief:

Ako ay naging spoiled brat kay Laku, who is just two years older than I am. I texted him to bring white chocolates coz i was craving for that, and he brought home a bag of them from 7-11...lots of them, but I quickly made a go at the toblerone white, nyahahaha...

Tapos maya nung dvd time na I carelessly voiced out that I was craving white mocha frap...and he bought me a tall cup of it shortly. Noooo...*sips frap* ;p

Napagalitan ako ni ma kasi overtime daw kami sa gising, watching Yu Yu kasi with Laku and Sa-i, tapos nagkkuwento sila and I got carried away with their tales. Ma said nakakahiya daw kami coz we supposed to let them sleep!

But honestly they had wanted us to stay longer...despite my protests earlier...

Senti People:

Si Shane at si Laku, umiyak...kasi sabi ni mama baka alis na daw bukas ng umaga, going to bangus festival in dagupan, pangasinan.

Ma placed the decision on me, because she was getting indecisive. I had wanted to go, but with the warmth of the company...I thought twice about it.

Next day:

Adik. Woke up too late. Mga almost ten na when I woke up, felt kind of woozy because of lack of sleep. I told shane to stop crying, texted laku my thanks.

And due to some inconveniences, we went to sm and wright park instead of going to pangasinan. We had lunch at kfc sm and stayed long at the top floor. ma watched some cool shows there while shane and I went to quantum na malapit doon para magbabad sa dance machine. :P

I took a pic of the baguio sunset and waited for my ma to give the go home signal.

A very long night:

It was sort of festive when we returned. We walked home from SM, hahaha...kinda tiring because Baguio is a landscape of ups and downs, so we had to fight gravity or move cautiously with it. But we did make it, panting yet happy with the fun workout.

When we arrived the trio kids were there, complete! Goku, Laku, and Sa-i. Una chika. Goku kachika ko while we shared another toblerone white from yesterday's bag of goodies. He then decided to buy food first.

Later when it was almost 8, everyone sat down to eat, which was a rarity there. I realized that Gwakong was thrilled with that occasion. I can see na namiss niya yung mga anakers niya.

Habang kumakain, nagbulgaran ng mga kalokohan. Ako nakipagbanatan kay shane to the point that she was out of breath with laughter, kasi hindi siya makaexplain, hahahahahaha!

After preparing for the night, ma brought out her digicam and fired away...taking shots of us in different moods and poses...even using the timer so mama could join in. We even had a video session. My mother is soo weird...mostly in a good way, hehehe. *shrugs*

Texas chainsaw massacre...

It was a dvd that I regret wasting my time on...I watched half of it with everybody until I realized that it was too gory and pointless so I left the room with my cell.

A night to remember:

I went out on the balcony, took pictures of the night scene, and called repareps. I dunno why it had to be then...maybe because I missed him or maybe because this baguio thing was perfect for a mini retreat for me to think of my life and fix my issues with him..?

We had a talk...I discussed my reservations about him...ayun, ok naman, at asaran galore na naman. :P

Moving on:

We would have stayed longer had it not been for ma's business and shane's dad. After eating one of my absolute fave bfasts- boneless bangus of pangasinan- we headed to the station and took the bus to dagupan.

We visited the cemetery, went to jollibee for lunch, and went to the hospital to visit ma's aunt, lola salva, who turned out to have gone for baguio just that morning in the ambulance (she's working in that hospital).

Tapos nag-beach ang mga iha...

Wala, nagtampisaw sa tubig, naglaro ng buhangin, inenjoy ang clear blue skies and fresh salty air and h20. Sad but true.

I hate endings:

Umuwi kami nang tahimik. Pangit pa ung show, di ko type- 007. I don't like such movies, so ayun, nagchikahan galore na lang kami ni shane, reviewing the trip and our lives in school...our text messages...ayun.

We chatted inside for a while and then left the place.
